Looking for a way to celebrate this season of giving in New York City? On Saturday, December 14, the ASPCA Adoption Center will be hosting an adoption event and donation drive called Give Something, Get Something! From 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., we’re inviting everyone to stop by and participate in a pet supply donation drive or meet some of our adorable adoptable animals.

For those able to give a furry friend a new home and a new start, the dogs and cats below will be available for adoption! And even if you aren’t adopting, you can still stop by to participate in our pet supplies donation drive for pet parents in need.

Our Community Engagement team works with pet parents and agencies to identify solutions to keep potentially at-risk animals in their homes, such as providing informational resources, supply support and grooming. This work is critical to many pet parents in New York City, and your donation will make a huge difference. Everyone who drops off a donation will also get a special thank you gift from the ASPCA staff!

The Adoption Center and Community Engagement teams, as well as the lovely companions below, hope to see you there!

Undercroft and Shoji

Undercroft and Shoji

This marvelous pair of feline friends are looking for a loving home together! Shoji and Undercroft are bonded cats, which means they are best friends who rely on each other, so they must go home together. Shoji is the outgoing one, and she thrives on attention from her friends. Undercroft prefers getting pets on his own terms, but he doesn’t want to feel left out when he sees Shoji getting some love! They both enjoy playtime with their favorite toys and snuggle together at night. Visit their profiles to learn more about Shoji and Undercroft!

Empanada is our sweet, cuddly, social butterfly! She loves playtime and burning some energy by chasing after her toys. She also has a lot of fun on walks and has great leash manners! In her new home, she hopes to be the only dog so she can be the center of your attention. She will also thrive with a family who enjoys exercise . Clark

Clark

No one loves getting human attention like handsome Clark! This wonderful guy is full of wiggles when he sees his friends, and he’s always down for pets and cuddles. He’s also a quick learner, and he has a blast learning new things – especially when there’s a tasty reward on the line! He hopes to find an adopter who will keep him busy with regular walks and adventures. Visit Clark’s profile and make his dreams come true!

If you aren’t able to attend this event in New York City, but you’re still interested in adopting a cat or dog, there are many more amazing animals there at our locations in Weaverville, North Carolina, Los Angeles and Columbus, Ohio! You can also visit your local shelter or our friends at Animal Care Centers of NYC!

If you can’t adopt right now, we encourage you to donate supplies at the event, or you can also consider becoming a foster caregiver! Fostering is a wonderful way you can make a difference for dogs and cats in need, who benefit greatly from spending time in homes, even if it’s only temporary.
