Now that we are halfway through Adopt a Shelter Dog Month, all our dogs can barely contain their excitement! If you are considering adopting a new best friend, there is still plenty of time to join in on the festivities. We are celebrating throughout the month of October by highlighting a few adoptable dogs from our programs in New York City and Columbus, Ohio. These adorable pups are looking for a soft bed, a roof over their heads and a new best friend! Will you be the one to open your home to them?

When you adopt this month, you won’t just be growing your family – you will also be joining a movement we call The Rescue Effect! When one animal is adopted, a ripple effect then spreads across shelters, creating more space for animals in need. Visit aspca.org/TheRescueEffect to learn more about how you can make a lifesaving impact this Adopt a Shelter Dog Month!

These dogs are eager to meet you in Ohio:

He has even helped other dogs gain confidence in our playgroups. Tatum is a sensitive guy who sometimes finds the outside world a little scary, so he relies on his people for support. Once he finds a home of his own, with a patient adopter by his side, he’ll be ready to take on anything in life! Visit his profile to learn more about adopting Tatum!
