Like a soft ocean breeze, Caribbean is a gentle, petite Husky ready to drift into her next chapter. She’s a little island girl with a big heart and so much love to give!

Rescued from a suspected cruelty situation earlier this year, Caribbean is leaving that past behind her and setting sail toward a brighter future. New people and unfamiliar places can feel a bit overwhelming at first, but with a little patience and kindness, she begins to relax, leaning in for pets and letting her sweet, playful personality shine through.

Caribbean loves to play, especially when it feels like a game of chase along the shore. Drag a stuffed toy along the ground and she’ll happily follow, pounce and trot around with her treasure before settling in for a good chew. She’s also a curious explorer, gently investigating new little “island finds” like sticks or spiky balls, sometimes carrying them along on her adventures.

Out on walks, Caribbean greets other dogs with an adorable play-bounce and has done wonderfully with canine friends. She enjoys classic Husky-style chase play and may thrive with a confident dog companion to help her feel even more at ease.

When Caribbean first arrived in our care, she was diagnosed with a heart condition and has since undergone surgery to correct it. She’s now ready to enjoy life like a typical young dog, with adopters who will continue to support her with regular, proactive veterinary care.

Since Caribbean recently underwent heart surgery, she will need to wait a little longer before safely completing her spay surgery. She is available for adoption before being spayed, and the ASPCA will cover the cost and coordinate scheduling for this procedure. Her adopter will simply bring her back to the ASPCA at the scheduled time so she can complete this final step in her care.
