Maroon

Maroon is a beautiful, 2-year-old, 41-pound Husky with striking eyes and a personality that just keeps getting brighter every day!

Maroon is very loving with her familiar people, and while she can sometimes be a little unsure with new men, she responds beautifully to patience, kindness and treats. Once she feels comfortable, she quickly warms up and happily leans in for attention and affection.

In our play yard, Maroon really shines. She loves to run, explore and take in everything around her, but she always circles back to her people for pets and reassurance before dashing off again to play. She has a lovely balance of independence and connection, enjoying her romps while still staying tuned in to her humans.

Maroon has participated in many doggy playgroups and has truly blossomed over time. What began as a quieter, more observant presence has grown into a social, playful girl who loves engaging with other dogs — especially through chase games and active, fun play!

On walks, Maroon is bright, curious and engaged with her surroundings. She may get excited about what’s around her, but she regularly checks in with her people and clearly enjoys sharing the experience of being out together.

At her core, Maroon is affectionate, joyful and full of heart. Once she considers you her person, she’s incredibly sweet and loves leaning in for attention, companionship and affection. She also makes a wonderful playmate for other dogs who enjoy a lively, upbeat playstyle!

Maroon was rescued from a difficult situation earlier in life, and since then she has shown nothing but resilience and a steady, beautiful growth in confidence.
