ASPCA Assists With the Ongoing Care of Hundreds of Farm Animals Rescued in Southern Erie County
At the request of the SPCA Serving Erie County, we are now on the ground assisting with the ongoing care of hundreds of farm animals rescued in Southern Erie County last week. The remaining animals have since been removed from the property, and all animals are now receiving critical support, including medical care, in a collaborative effort between us and the SPCA Serving Erie County.
“The ASPCA is proud to be in a position where we have the expertise and resources to move quickly to assist local animal welfare agencies across the country when animals are in crisis. We commend the SPCA Serving Erie County for recognizing the need for additional assistance and for their commitment to prioritizing animal welfare in their community,” said Teresa Ladner, Senior Director, of Investigations for the ASPCA. “We look forward to partnering with the SPCA Serving Erie County to provide the rescued animals with much-needed care.”
“When faced with a rescue of this magnitude, our primary obligation is to the immediate welfare of the animals. We are incredibly grateful to the ASPCA for answering our call and deploying their team to Erie County,” said Caitlin Daly, President & CEO of the SPCA Serving Erie County. “Together, we’re ensuring these farm animals are receiving the highest level of care and medical attention possible during this time."
