OHIO: Urgent Dog Foster Needed in Columbus!
If you live in or near Columbus, Ohio, and can care for an adorable young dog, please consider fostering Monkey! We provide all the caregiving supplies—you just provide the time and love!
Here at the Cruelty Recovery Center, 10-month-old Monkey requires surgery to correct her cherry eye condition, which is what happens when the third eyelid gland pops out near the lower eyelid. Before she can have this important surgery, we need to find her a foster home where she can recover for two weeks following her procedure, as the shelter environment would not allow her to heal correctly. During recovery, Monkey will need to wear an e-collar and her foster will need to apply eye drops. Other than that, she just needs a calm home environment to rest in.
Monkey is a sweet Bulldog-mix who looks like a perpetual puppy thanks to her short stature, playful demeanor and puppy face! She’s a social, happy pup who has made many friends here at the CRC. Though she has done well with other dogs, while recovering, it would be best for her to be separated from any resident animals so that she doesn’t accidentally injure her surgery sites.
If you’re able to give Monkey the home she needs to rest and recuperate, please apply to become a foster for the CRC as soon as possible!
If you don’t live in the Columbus area, you can also foster for the ASPCA in Weaverville, North Carolina, New York City and Los Angeles (cat fosters only). Fosters are an immensely valuable part of our care teams, and we are grateful for your interest!
