An Incredible Year for the ASPCA: Looking Back at 2016

2016 Year in Review

Last year, the ASPCA celebrated our 150th year of dedicated service to animals in need nationwide. 2016 proved to be a huge year for us, and we hit some amazing milestones along the way. Considering natural disaster rescues, adoptions and our legislative efforts—2016 was certainly one for the books!

“I will always look back on 2016 as a year in which we not only celebrated Henry Bergh’s vision, but elevated it through innovation, collaboration, and an enduring commitment to save and protect more animals in need,” said Matt Bershadker, ASPCA President and CEO. “That kind of progress sets us up for even greater life-saving accomplishments in 2017 and beyond.”

As we celebrate the close of another incredible year for animals, and plan ahead for 2017, let’s look back on some of the highlights from 2016:
