Hunter Is on the Hunt for an Adopter!
Meet our handsome boy, Hunter! Though Hunter’s life was difficult to start, he’s begun a new chapter and cannot wait to start the new journey of finding a loving home!
At the ASPCA Behavioral Rehabilitation Center (BRC), Hunter has been working to build his confidence and learn to be a companion dog. He can’t wait to show his new family of all the new things he’s learned, like walking on leash, playing with doggy friends and even riding in a car!
Hunter absolutely loves playgroup and is great at modulating his play style when he plays with other dogs. Other dogs help to build Hunter’s confidence, so having a good doggy play partner will make a world of difference as he settles into a new home. He also loves a good scratching session and walks with his favorite people.
Hunter can be one excited pup on walks since he loves sniffing the air and using his nose whenever he gets the chance, so he’s working on pulling on his leash less. A harness really helps!
In his new home, Hunter would love to have another confident pup to play with and show him the ropes. He’d also love a fenced in yard—though it’s not a dealbreaker if you don’t have one. Getting outside on hikes and finding other ways to explore together is still a great bonding experience.
