Hello, my name is Sourdough, and it’s a pleasure to finally meet you! You may not know this yet, but I’m the newest – and cutest – member of your family!

Here in New York City, I’ve been enjoying life in a wonderful foster home, but I’m eager to live in a home that’s all for me! I don’t ask for too much from my people, and you’ll see just how cool, calm and collected my purr-sonality is. I’m a social girl, too – whenever you walk through the door, I’ll always greet you with the happiest chirps and meows!

My preferred daily routine is an easygoing one. I love to choose a cozy spot to curl up in, and especially one where I can also keep an eye on the home. I’ll admit that I’m not the most agile cat, so I always appreciate a helping hand when I’m trying to get to a higher spot. Whenever I’m not taking a well-earned catnap, I enjoy getting pets and chin scratches, and maybe a nice brush session too.

When I first move into your home, I might be a bit nervous and take some time to open up to you, but it’s a temporary feeling, and soon enough, I know I’ll feel safe and confident in my new home! I’ll reward your patience by showing you how comfortable I have become with lots of biscuit kneading and rolling over to show off my belly!

My biggest hope for you is that you’ll be understanding and patient with me as I get accustomed to my new life. You can definitely get to know me better by sharing some tasty treats – I love those! My friends at the ASPCA do have me on a weight loss plan, which is pretty tough since I love snacks, but I look forward to being my best feline self! I also need to live in a home without any other cats – I prefer to be the one and only kitty love in your life!
