In October, at the request of the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office, we assisted in rescuing more than 50 dogs from a property in Berkeley County, South Carolina. The animals were found living in extremely poor conditions with some found to be malnourished, dehydrated or suffering from other untreated medical conditions. Following their rescue, the dogs were transported to an ASPCA recovery center where they have been receiving the care they need.

But from all the heartbreak of their past comes new hope as one of the rescued dogs recently gave birth to a litter of puppies! While puppies normally feed from their mothers, the litter wasn’t nursing well, so to ensure they were getting the nourishment they needed, our dedicated staff began bottle feeding them, giving these puppies the round-the-clock care they need at that age. Now, the puppies are all doing great! Take a look for yourself!

Now 10 weeks old, these puppies are learning how to live like their other canine friends. We can’t wait to see what life has in store for them!
