Catalina

Are you ready for a sweet and delightfully mellow pup to join your family in North Carolina? Meet Catalina! She hopes to find a special person who loves leisurely walks and the comforts of home just as much as she does.

Catalina is the kind of dog who knows what she likes, and she hopes to share that with you! To get to know your new best friend, you can bond with her simply by spending time together. She enjoys keeping busy with strolls through a quiet neighborhood and curling up with a good chew toy afterwards, especially ones with hidden treats. She really loves food and enjoys working for a tasty treat!

Catalina has spent some time in a foster home, where she quickly fell in love with her fosters – and the feeling is mutual! Whenever her people arrive home, she always greets them with enthusiastic tail wags. She’s also shown off her smarts whenever they work on training together. Catalina also adores her doggy friends, and she has gotten along swimmingly with her foster’s resident dog.

Catalina

Catalina was originally found as a stray dog and was nervous about meeting new people. Since spending time in our care, she now really enjoys making new friends, human and canine alike! A great way to help her warm up to someone is by taking a nice walk together – especially with some yummy treats to share! Catalina’s adopters should also continue to work on building up her confidence in busy or noisy areas. With the help and love of her future family, she will undoubtedly blossom into her best doggy self!

In Catalina’s ideal home, she would love to have lots of cozy places to relax and snooze the day away! She’d especially love to have a fenced-in yard to wander around in, but she would also do well in a home where it’s easy to take on-leash walks. Catalina would definitely enjoy having another doggy sibling who can help show her the ropes around the house! Her closest canine friends have been those who are respectful without too much contact but are still plenty playful. When she’s meeting a new dog pal, slow, structured introductions are very helpful.
