Meet Garrick, named after a bold and loyal character from a popular fantasy series. Just like his namesake, this little guy is full of personality, heart and energy!

At 7 months old and 32 pounds, Garrick is a playful, wiggly puppy who loves attention from his favorite people. He may be a little shy at first with new faces, but he is easily won over with a few treats and some time.

When Garrick spent a few days in foster care, his true personality shined. His foster parents described him in three words: playful, smart and cuddly. He quickly proved to be an easygoing little soul, spending most of his time lounging quietly on the couch, snoozing next to his people and even sneaking into the space between them, just to be close. He picked up housetraining quickly, barely barked and loved playtime — wiggling around with stuffed toys or climbing into laps for pets.

Garrick also loves playing with other dogs and would thrive with a canine sibling. He enjoys climbing into laps, wiggling for pets and showing off his silly, energetic personality. He is learning to offer “sits” instead of jumping and is highly motivated by treats, making training sessions a fun way to bond.

This sweet pup would do best with a patient adopter who can help him build confidence, continue socializing with other dogs and show him that the world is full of good things and new adventures.
