Meet Riley, a wonderful pup with a gentle personality! She came to us from a suspected hoarding case, and she has shown that she has plenty of love to give.

Riley can initially be a bit shy, and she recently finished treatment for heartworm, so she’s hoping to find a calm, quiet home where she can feel safe as she settles in and recovers. Once she warms up, she is affectionate and loyal, sticking close to her favorite humans for pets and belly rubs. She’ll tippy-tap her paws and wiggle her whole body with excitement when you approach her, and she’s a pro at showing off her sweet nature.

Riley is a massive cuddle bug who loves nothing more than curling up on the couch with her people after a relaxing walk. She’s especially fond of calm, scenic routes and will walk happily by your side, soaking in the sights at her own pace. Riley is also a very food-motivated girl, and she loves engaging in training sessions. This clever pup is always eager to learn new things when a tasty treat is on the line!

During playtime with other dogs, Riley is a gentle, dainty player who prefers lowkey canine pals who respect her space. She does best with easygoing playmates and tends to mill around quietly rather than jump into rough play. She might be a little nervous if another dog approaches too fast for her liking, but soon enough, she will happily zoom around and even show them a playful bow or two!
