Manteca is a pup who knows his cues, loves his cheese and might just outsmart you!

This sweet, playful and affectionate dog is always ready for fun and connection. Manteca loves long walks, especially when he gets to explore on a longer leash. He is happiest when he’s playing in a fenced-in yard with his favorite toys.

Manteca is smart and eager to learn. He already knows “sit,” “touch” and “down,” and he responds beautifully to positive reinforcement training. He’s quick to warm up to new people, especially if there are treats involved or a walk on the horizon. With his familiar friends, he’s incredibly cuddly, nudging for pets or rolling over in the grass for belly rubs.

Manteca has also done well in a foster home! He settled in quickly and handled household noises like a champ. He’s a great fit for someone who enjoys daily walks, playtime and building a strong bond through training and shared adventures.
